"A Christian Paradigm" is based on Aristotelian logic and Christian tradition. It provides a rational foundation for science, religion, and psi phenomena. It is a philosophical alternative view of reality, mind, the universe as a mind, creation, and worlds. It relates to metaphysics, parapsychology, idealism, noumenalism, spirit, perception, psi phenomena, probabilities, possibilities, undefined objects, avatar, and virtual reality. As an apology it provides reasons to believe. Home Page (frames)

THE ONE AND THE MANY

There is one God, one Mind, one Awareness, one Will, one Reason in the universe. Why does it appear that there are many?

ONE MIND

Our universe is not a product of space-time, matter-energy and force-fields. It is a product of mind. One Mind, One Creator:

ACTS 17:28 For in him we live, and move, and have our being; as certain also of your own poets have said, For we are also his offspring.

CO1 8:6 But to us there is but one God, the Father, of whom are all things, and we in him; and one Lord Jesus Christ, by whom are all things, and we by him.

JOHN 17:21 That they all may be one; as thou, Father, art in me, and I in thee, that they also may be one in us: that the world may believe that thou hast sent me.

JOHN 17:22 And the glory which thou gavest me I have given them; that they may be one, even as we are one:

The ground of our being is the one Mind, the one God, the one Creator. One Father, one Son, one Spirit. One Will, one Reason, one Awareness. This one "I AM" is not dependent in any way on space-time, matter-energy, or force-fields but is the very ground of being in which all of these things were created.

MANY

GEN 1:28 And God blessed them, and God said unto them, Be fruitful, and multiply ...

The creation of space-time makes it possible for the one Mind to manifest as many individual minds. Each is an image of the One. Each is a trinity of awareness, will and reason reflecting the one Trinity which is the one God and Creator.

ENERGY

All biological life is dependent on energy from the sun either directly or indirectly. This can be seen as a metaphor of the one Mind and the manifestation of many. Each individual biological life-form receives energy from the one source, the sun, and redistributes it in another form which is characteristic of that particular life-form. A plant, for example, converts the sun's energy into nutrients through the use of chlorophyl. Vegetarian animals can then receive energy by digesting the plant nutrients and they in turn convert the energy into other types of nutrients such as milk, eggs or flesh. Energy is never lost but is always transformed into new forms.

In individuals the one Mind is transformed into new forms just as plants transform energy from the sun. The one Mind then manifests locally within space-time in new forms. Each manifestation is characteristic of the individual that transforms it. Thus Awareness becomes the awareness of an individual to its environment and its personal needs. Will becomes an individual's power to choose and create. Awareness, will and reason work together to form an individual's consciousness.

TRANSFORMER

Another analogy is the way electrical power is distributed from a central power generating plant. The electrical power which is transmitted over the power lines from the generating plant has a high tension so that it can travel long distances wthout much loss. At the other end, at each local end point, the electrical power is transformed to a low tension where it can be used safely in various household appliances. The device used is called an electrical transformer.

The one Mind is like the high tension power plant providing Awareness, Will and Reason to the entire universe. Each of us is like a transformer, transforming mind to a form where it can be used locally by each individual.

TEMPLES OF GOD

A beautiful metaphor for the One manifesting in many is the biblical statement that each of us is a temple of God.

1COR 3:16 Know ye not that ye are the temple of God, and that the Spirit of God dwelleth in you?

1COR 6:15 Know ye not that your bodies are the members of Christ? ...

1COR 6:19 What? know ye not that your body is the temple of the Holy Ghost which is in you, which ye have of God, and ye are not your own?

JOHN 10:34 Jesus answered them, Is it not written in your law, I said, Ye are gods?

PSA 82:6 I have said, Ye are gods; and all of you are children of the most High.
